Design, build, test, launch, and operate full-stack services automating responses to legal, regulatory, and civil requests. Develop backend systems, internal web tools, and integrations across microservice and event-driven architectures. Collaborate with Counsel, Compliance, and Operations while handling sensitive customer data. Participate in on-call, incident response, code reviews, modernization efforts, and responsible use of AI-powered development tools.

Build and operate production machine learning systems for ranking, retrieval, recommendations, search, propensity, churn, LTV, and next-best-action decisioning. Design reliable signal contracts covering freshness, provenance, confidence, eligibility, and calibration. Lead feature pipelines, model serving, experimentation, monitoring, and feedback loops while evaluating fairness, risk, compliance, trust, and long-term customer impact. Collaborate across product, growth, data, platform, modeling, risk, and compliance teams.

Build and operate GRC data pipelines, integrations, policy-as-code, continuous control monitoring, evidence automation, and agentic AI workflows. Normalize security data from diverse systems, create auditable evaluation harnesses, govern AI systems, and define technical direction across teams. Partner with security governance, compliance, and engineering groups to transform manual governance processes into scalable products.

Lead Block’s global tax planning and controversy agenda, including international and U.S. tax strategy, transfer pricing, M&A taxation, legal-entity structuring, tax audits, examinations, disputes, and transaction negotiations. Advise senior leadership on tax implications, partner with Legal, Treasury, Corporate Development, and finance teams, monitor legislative developments, and ensure tax positions are reflected in reporting and compliance. Build high-performing teams and represent Block before domestic and foreign tax authorities.

Own the architecture and technical strategy for Square’s go-to-market technology stack. Build and operate production AI agents, automated workflows, and integrations that improve sales productivity. Lead complex technical initiatives, establish AI reliability and security guardrails, define evaluation metrics, and guide build-versus-buy decisions. Partner with Sales, Product, Data, and Engineering leaders while mentoring engineers and remaining hands-on across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.

Build and operate Block’s data platform, including warehousing, orchestration, business intelligence, governance, and agentic workflows. Develop reliable Python services, developer tools, and Terraform infrastructure for petabyte-scale data. Partner with data practitioners and product teams, establish engineering standards, provide technical direction, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, reliability, observability, usability, and data governance.

Own and scale enterprise compensation programs, including salary structures, equity, geo-pay, promotions, focal cycles, and incentives. Design compensation governance, policy guardrails, delegation frameworks, automated workflows, AI-assisted self-service tools, and centralized reporting. Advise senior leaders on talent-market positioning, pay equity, and organizational design while partnering with Compensation Operations, data, tooling, and peer program leads.

Leads Legal Innovation & Operations strategy, including legal technology roadmaps, systems optimization, automation and AI initiatives. Oversees CLM, eBilling, knowledge management, and workflow platforms; manages budgets, vendors, and third-party spend; and delivers cross-functional projects with Legal, IT, Finance, Policy, and business teams.
