EverGen, a renewable natural gas infrastructure platform based in Vancouver, announced that GrowTEC, a farm-scale biogas facility, has received up to $2 million in funding from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The capital will support the second phase of GrowTEC’s anaerobic digester facility expansion.

GrowTEC is part of EverGen’s portfolio of renewable natural gas and waste-to-energy infrastructure projects. Phase 2 of GrowTEC’s expansion will enhance its production of renewable natural gas and increase the facility’s output to 120,000 gigajoules annually.

The new funding will facilitate the installation of preprocessing and de-packaging equipment, allowing GrowTEC to broaden the range of organic waste its facility can process. EverGen will also make upgrades to GrowTEC’s renewable natural gas system to help improve operational efficiency.
