What You'll DoThe Walt Disney Company and Epic Games collaborate on an all-new games and entertainment universe. This persistent universe will offer opportunities for consumers to play, watch, and engage with content, characters, and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more. Players and fans can create their own stories and experiences, express their fandom in a distinctly Disney way, and share content with each other. As a Senior UI Programmer, you’ll help shape the core experience, building intuitive, powerful interfaces and collaborating closely with designers, artists, and programmers to craft something truly magical. In this role, you will- Envision, plan, and implement new UI features such as HUD widgets, minimaps, mission flow, activity feeds, and interaction menus
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable C++ code
- Optimize and debug new and legacy systems
- Integrate backend systems to support seamless player experiences
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on cutting-edge features across the Fortnite ecosystem
- Align with backend developers on service and client goals
- Partner with art and design leads to ensure the UI meets both aesthetic and functional goals
- Exceptional robust C++ programming skills
- Experience developing features for games across multiple platforms
- Proven background in online multiplayer or real-time interactive technology
- Interest in social, frontend, and gameplay-adjacent systems
- Strong empathy for players and a drive to create outstanding user experiences
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Unreal Engine experience preferred

Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
