About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and highly organized Marketing Specialist to help drive product marketing and go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our Gen AI & Shorts Effects products at YouTube. In this role, you will be among the central experts on our product capabilities, content strategies, the competitive landscape, and our marketing narrative. You will be responsible for ensuring that all internal teams and regional partners are aligned on what’s launching and when, and will play a critical role in shaping how our features are perceived and adopted by users globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Product & content strategy: Collaborate on the program strategy for feature launches across user-facing in-product surfaces. Analyze performance across surfaces and create recommendations on content, etc. that should be featured accordingly. 
  • Program management: Act as a central point of contact for product information, tracking and communicating changes in product launches (new features and capabilities across the product suite) and marketing launches to all stakeholders (including international regions). 
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape. Help conduct regular analysis and distill insights to inform product strategy, positioning, and marketing campaigns.
  • Narrative, Messaging, & creative development: Provide critical feedback on the product narratives, messaging frameworks, and creative that goes into marketing, to ensure they are compelling, clear, and consistent across all channels.
About You:The essentials:
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within the tech or media industry, with a focus on GTM strategies for consumer or creator products
  • A deep interest in and knowledge of short-form video platforms
  • Proven experience collaborating with Product, Marketing, Communications, and Research teams at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Assist with quantitative and qualitative analysis of data sets and translating into actionable recommendations
  • Assist with translating complex technical concepts into clear, simple, and intuitive messaging
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and autonomous work style, with a highly organized and collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or a related field, or MBA

This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range
$70,000$85,000 CAD
