Job Summary:

The Senior Planner provides strategic leadership and direction for production planning and scheduling functions across major semiconductor manufacturing operations. This position develops and implements comprehensive planning strategies, governance frameworks, and operational models that ensure optimal manufacturing performance. The role serves as a senior advisor on complex manufacturing planning matters and leads transformational initiatives to enhance organizational planning capabilities in support of manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive production planning strategies, governance frameworks, and performance metrics aligned with business objectives (25%)
  • Direct integrated business planning processes, establish S&OP frameworks, and lead alignment of demand, supply, capacity, and financial plans across major manufacturing operations (20%)
  • Lead implementation of advanced planning and scheduling methodologies, including planning algorithms, optimization approaches, and sophisticated scheduling models (15%)
  • Direct integration of manufacturing planning with supply chain operations, establish end-to-end synchronization frameworks, and oversee inventory strategies and flow optimization (15%)
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of planning professionals while establishing performance expectations, career development frameworks, and talent management strategies (15%)
  • Serve as senior advisor to manufacturing and business leadership on planning strategy, partner on strategic challenges, and represent the planning function in senior leadership forums (10%)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field 
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in production planning leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of planning methodologies, ERP, S&OP, and operations management
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • Expert knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and planning complexities
  • Experience with advanced planning systems and optimization tools
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, theory of constraints, and advanced planning techniques
  • Superior communication and presentation skills at executive level
  • Strong program management capabilities with experience leading major planning initiatives
  • Change management expertise and proven ability to drive planning excellence
  • Experience with planning algorithms, optimization approaches, and constraint management techniques
  • Experience with utilizing AI to enhance and improve efficiency with planning and reporting activities

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is CAD 87,000 - 105,000.  There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
