Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Communications, the Senior Manager, Digital Content Marketing leads the business’ marketing content strategy and execution and leads a team of digital marketing/content communications professionals, providing strategic oversight and guidance for the team. This individual is responsible for creating consistent, accurate, clear and effective messages for target customers and audiences for a defined line of business, by planning and creating multi-channel digital content marketing initiatives and events. This role requires a hands-on leader and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing trends and analytics, combined with a passion for building and deploying innovative digital programs that deliver measurable results.

What you'll do :

Digital Marketing & Content Strategy: 

  • Aligned with the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, develop and execute a comprehensive digital content marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.

  • Working with the Marketing Operations team, analyze, nurture and expand demand generation programs that deliver high-quality leads to the sales team, and optimize the digital marketing funnel to improve conversion rates.

  • Ensure all content is created with the right messages, to the right people, at the right time, via the right channel, to achieve the best ROI.

Team Leadership: 

  • Lead the content marketing team to ensure tactical and strategic marketing plans are well created, managed and executed. 

  • Foster a culture of creativity, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement, and ensure the team collaborates effectively with stakeholders including the Product, Data & Analytics, and Sales teams, and within Marketing.

  • Oversee content strategies, briefs and content developed by the Content Marketing team, and provide editorial review.  

Digital Marketing & Content Creation:

  • Own content marketing for a defined line of business (B2B), including distribution channels, tactics and timing. Create and execute briefs and content for various channels including copywriting and website, email marketing and communications, webinars, events, social media, blog posts, video scripts, and sales enablement materials to effectively represent our brand, products and services to our customers, markets or other external and internal groups.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the reviews, translation, design and production of various publications and digital marketing collateral. Tasks may include research, writing, editing and working with outside writers, designers, printers and other vendors, and facilitating internal reviews.  

What experience you need

  • Experience leading a team of digital marketing/content communications professionals, providing strategic oversight and guidance for the team

  • Effective marketer and communicator, able to synthesize data and information so that it tells a compelling story that resonates with target audiences.

  • Experience researching, writing and distributing marketing and sales enablement materials including branding, collateral materials, and customer communications for varied digital marketing channels.

  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills, with superior knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and style (Canadian Press).

  • Strong attention to detail and proven stakeholder management skills. taking pride in delivering on commitments.

  • Demonstrated advanced stakeholder and time management skills. The individual will be confidently able to balance the competing needs of this fast growing dynamic business, and all stakeholders.

  • 10+ years of B2B digital marketing and communications experience that demonstrates superior writing, editing and proofreading skills, and knowledge of a wide range of marketing strategies.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, communications or business studies.

  • Experience leading a team, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.

  • Proficiency in various content formats (text, slides) and channels (emails, webinars, blogs, reports, videos). 

  • Effective communicator, able to synthesize data and information to tell a compelling story that resonates with target audiences.

  • Exceptional organization and project management skills, able to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

What could set you apart

  • Experience with technologies including Google Suite (Docs, Slides), Workfront, Stensul.

  • Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset.

  • Analytical and intellectually curious, seeking to understand root causes.
