What You'll DoEpic Games is looking for a quality focused Release Manager to play a pivotal role in how Unreal Engine reaches creators and players around the globe. You will work with talented teams across disciplines to bring industry defining technology to life on time and at the highest quality. The Release Management team ensures every build that goes out meets the Epic standard. You will lead the charge on risk management, clear communication, milestone execution, and delivering the tools that empower the next generation of creativity.
In this role, you will- Develop new practices and structures to better scale release management and stabilization processes across our Unreal Engine ecosystem
- Own the scheduling, coordination, quality control, and deployment processes across multiple platforms and services
- Understand the process for submitting builds to different environments inside and out, and will be an expert on all things related to Unreal Engine deployments
- Coordinate across all disciplines to ensure release plans, marketing, community messaging, and other key beats are considered and executed properly for each release
- Work closely with QA, Build Programmers, and Lead Programmers on monitoring the automated build and integration process
- Work with QA Leads to establish and maintain bug triage process, determine and prioritize must-fix issues for release and work with appropriate team members to ensure bug fixes happen as planned
- Coordinate internal and external release notes, known issues, and knowledge base updates
- Strong project management skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to collaborate on large projects across multiple disciplines
- Experience utilizing project management tools like Jira to track work across teams and projects
- Experience with build and release processes for Content Creation Tools or Games as a Service products
- Familiarity with Perforce, Github, or other source control software is a plus
- Familiarity with game engines like Unreal Engine, Unity, etc is a plus

Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
