Role Overview
The DevOps / Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing,
building, supporting, and optimizing cloud and hybrid infrastructure
environments. This role focuses on enabling secure, scalable, and highly
available digital platforms through automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure
as code, and strong operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess
frameworks, platforms, and technology stacks to support cloud‑based
solutions
- Design,
build, and support cloud environments for digital product delivery
- Design,
build, and administer CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous development and
deployment
- Monitor
and assess application and infrastructure performance to ensure
availability and reliability
- Identify,
analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment issues
- Create,
test, and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and prevent
unauthorized access
- Plan,
coordinate, and support infrastructure and application releases across
teams
- Manage
system maintenance, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Maintain
release calendars, deployment records, approvals, and change artifacts
- Support
incident response, issue triage, and post‑release root cause analysis
- Create
and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and audit evidence
- Collaborate
with DevOps, security, compliance, and application teams
Technical & General Skills
- Experience
with leading cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, OCI, or Google Cloud
- Experience
maintaining complex Linux environments (CentOS, Ubuntu, CoreOS)
- Experience
with Windows and/or Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and networking
- Strong
scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, Node, PHP)
- Experience
with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, and
Confluence
- Experience
with Infrastructure as Code and version‑controlled deployments
- Experience
with build and configuration tools (Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Containerization
and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS/EKS)
- API
and integration experience
- Identity
and access management using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Mobile
device management experience across phones and tablets
Security, Logging & Compliance
- Apply
industry security best practices across infrastructure and DevOps
pipelines
- Design
and maintain centralized audit logging across cloud, on‑prem, and CI/CD
platforms
- Ensure
logs are collected, retained, protected, and searchable
- Monitor
infrastructure changes, access events, and deployment activities
- Integrate
logging platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, SIEM,
or ELK
- Support
internal and external audits with evidence, reporting, and analysis
- Support
vulnerability management, system hardening, and audit remediation
