Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is currently seeking an ADMS Pre-sales Consultant for its Houston, TX, or Raleigh, NC locations. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical support to the local sales organization and customers in identifying the most technically suitable and cost-effective solutions. Prepare technical descriptions of the applied products and technology to support the proposal process. As a key technical resource in the assigned area, the ADMS Pre-sales Consultant will also deliver software product demonstrations during pre-sales discussions. The successful candidate will have exceptional technical expertise and a strong understanding of the industry. They should be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.

Your Responsibilities:

  • As an experienced technical expert in the field of SCADA/ADMS, you will provide support to the Sales organization.

  • Prepare and deliver SCADA/ADMS product demonstrations.

  • Build/update configuration databases for SCADA/ADMS applications, as well as add or modify configurations to demo environments.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for SCADA/ADMS solutions. Provide technical responses to customer requests for information/proposals, translate customer requirements into technical solutions, and collaborate on design options to meet customer/user needs.

  • Installation onto demonstration server environments that may be on-premises or on-cloud, as well as loading data, configuring interfaces, tailoring, or personalizing the software.

  • Understanding of Smart Grid architecture, Docker containers, VMware, Kubernetes, NERC, and SaaS.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience. 

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience.

  • Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Experience configuring, building, and/or maintaining SCADA/ADMS databases.

  • Knowledge in scripting, virtual platforms, Smart Grid architecture, Docker containers, VMware, Kubernetes, NERC, and SaaS.

  • Ability to connect customer requirements/processes/procedures into product features.

  • Ability to identify business opportunities and provide technical expertise in Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic business acumen.
